Government teacher, Mr. Faron Seibel decided to suddenly retire after ten years of teaching. Mr. Seibel has been teaching in the social studies department since the second year the school opened. Students, especially his daughter who attends the school, are sad to see him leave and were surprised by his sudden departure.

“I’m definitely disappointed that he’s not here with me anymore, but he’s happy and he’s excited for the new change and that’s all I care about,” daughter, Ellie Seibel said. “And I felt better that my dad was here, but now I really don’t have that comfort.”

Along with teaching, Mr. Seibel was also the coach of the varsity flag football team, meaning that he had to let that go as well.

“For football, his last day is Friday [12/6] and we do have a new coach after that,” flag football player, Ashley Cervantes said.

With Mr. Seibel leaving students are left wondering who will come in and guide them to the end of the year.

“We’ve got a person hired and she’s getting her license and she did just graduate from college,” Chairman of social studies department, Mr. Michael Harter said. “She student-taught this fall and she’s gonna be the regular teacher.”
