Bye Bye NBA Season

The night of March 11th, NBA suspended the 2020 season until further notice. Last night, NBA tweeted that the season is suspended because two players from the Utah Jazz team was tested positive for COVID-19.

The two players that were tested positive were Rudy Gobert, and then later Donovan Mitchell. Couples days before he was diagnosed, Gobert was seen touching the microphones and recorders during interviews. It happened just seconds before tip-off, the OKC doctors rushed onto the court to tell the NBA officials to have the game postponed until further notice.

The aftermath of these positive tests were very serious, seeing as other teams and their staff members that the Utah Jazz players had come in contact with will have to be self-quarantined.

Five teams that are to be quarantined are the Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knickers, Boston Celtics, Detroit Pistons, and the Toronto Raptors.

As a result of the NBA doing this, the NHL has also paused their season until further notice and a few of the NFL teams have suspended traveling.
