UNLV Has Closed Its Doors

The Nevada System of Higher Education has asked multiple institutions to prepare for a transition to online instruction due to the world-wide spread of the corona virus.

UNLV officials have sent a letter to staff to inform them that the transition should be no later than April in order to allow the students and staff the time to comfortably transition to online instruction. The letter also tells the instructors to be more flexible with student absences especially if they are feeling ill.

The University has also banned fans from attending any spring related sporting events until further notice. UNLV study programs that are abroad and located in places such as Korea, Italy and China have been cancelled to avoid exposure of the virus.
